GETTING OUT OF THE EGO MIND
Here are techniques for getting out of your mind and into that place of stillness, the Nirvana that the Buddha talked about. Where you can reconnect with your TRUE SELF, become empowered, heal and bring the Light that is your spirit to conscious awareness. To become Whole …. manifesting all that you truly are.
I want you to sit in a comfortable seat in a quiet room with no distractions. And I want you now to close your eyes. Notice and become aware of where your mind is.
You will notice that it is in front of you, outside of your brain and head, usually about six inches in front of your face. You will observe that your mind is constantly talking to you. There are constant thoughts coming in, one after the other, in a continuous stream.
I want you to imagine taking two steps back and looking at your mind, observing it like it is a screen. Your mind is now like a screen in front of you. You are observing your mind.
So now there is an I am observing the mind.
The I am is your TRUE SELF.
This is the awareness the consciousness that is You.
It is very powerful and creates all that you are:
Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
You are observing and witnessing your myself, the ego-mind. You will notice that your thoughts are constantly coming across the screen of your mind.
Just observe them.
Now I want you to do the following. I want you to have a thought, and the thought I want you to have is
“where is the next thought going to come from”?
Do that now….
You will notice that your thoughts stop for a second or two and that there is a stillness, a state of no-mind, and then your thoughts start up again.
When your thoughts start again, repeat the thought, where is the next thought going to come from? And again, you will notice a pause or stillness. Continue to repeat the question every time your thoughts start again. Do this for the next few minutes, and the pauses will get longer and longer till they stop altogether…….Stillness.
This stillness is the gateway or door to the quantum field of Possibility.
Here is a second technique that will put your thoughts to rest and into a state of no-mind, of stillness.
Observe your mind and take the two steps step back as before. Observe your thoughts that come and go on the
screen of your mind. Focus your attention on the thoughts without reacting or identifying with them. No judgement or labelling.
Be the Neutral Witness.
Just observe them going across the screen of your mind with no reaction to them. Just observing them. By not identifying with them and just being the witness, you will notice that your thoughts start to fade. Just like a cat watches a mouse. And, after a while, you will notice that your thoughts slow down and stop. You go into a state of no thought. This is the state of no-mind, of Nirvana, that the Buddha spoke of, the state of when we’re out of our ego mind experiencing a state of just Being.
So, if your thoughts start up again, you just repeat the same process.
This second technique is more difficult for some, especially if in a state of high emotion.
The goal for both techniques is to be just
a conscious awareness in a place of stillness.
Now become aware of how you feel.
Just allow yourself to FEEL…without trying to do anything.
Feel what you are experiencing right now.
And as you feel, one of the following words will resonate with you,
Joy, bliss, gratitude, ecstasy, unboundedness, happiness, peace, serenity, interest, hope, inspiration, awe, contentment, love. One of these words will resonate with you.
I want you to imagine and see this word on the screen in your mind’s eye and observe the word.
And as you observe the word, you will notice that it will move around, sometimes it will get bigger, sometimes smaller, sometimes it will change into a different word. So just keep observing it and after a while it will fade away and you will go into a state of focused conscious awareness with a positive emotional state. This positive emotional state has always been within you.
You will now feel a deep Peace and Joy fill every part of you.That Peace is and always was here In your inner world.
The sourse of true happiness is not to be found externally .It is within Your Self. The emotional word that you resonated with is the emotional state of your inner True self.
By coming here, into the state of no mind, you will go into a very deep, restful state that is a hundred times more restful than being asleep.
Just being in this state for even a few minutes is equivalent to a number of hours of ordinary sleep.
So, come here often and do this exercise every day. You will find that afterwards you will feel the joy, the bliss, the ecstasy, the emotional state that is your true inner self being brought to conscious awareness and into your daily life.
Make this a daily practice and everything in your life will change profoundly.
